Shelley Flores - Director of Customer Service
Shelley joined Heartwood Health with more than 25 years experience in the hemophilia community. Working in home care customer service for more than 10 years, Shelley has provided a level of "hands on experience" that is irreplaceable and priceless. Her passion of caring for her customers, comes from her personal experience of raising two sons with hemophilia.
In addtion to her professional and personal experience, Shelley is an active volunteer and board member in the Hemophilia Association of San Diego County.
We are pleased to have Shelley as a member for our team , she is a perfect fit with Heartwood Health's customer service mission.

Michelle Gilmore - President, RN, MSN, NP
Michelle, has worked with hemophilia since 1989. She has worked directly with patients as a nurse, and held management positions with several hemophilia homecare companies.
Michelle's work in pediatrics, hospice care and home infusion is well respected. Michelle has equally enjoyed volunteer community service. Most summers she can be found at the hemophilia summer camp where she volunteers as a camp nurse.
She has also held board positions on the Hemophilia Foundation of Northern California as well as the Hemophilia Federation of America, and the Hemophilia Council of California.
Michelle, her husband Blake and their two children enjoy travel, bike riding and equestrian activities from their home in Oakland, California. "My favorite work is always direct involvement with this wonderfully diverse community and advocating for my patients," says Michelle.
Patti Nieves - Vice President, Pharm. Tech.
Patti is a state certified Pharmacy Technician and CHT (Certified Hypnotherapist) and a 14 year veteran in hemophilia homecare, hemophilia issues, and outreach activities.
While working at Children's Hospital at Standford she started an innovative courier service to deliver factor to hemophilia families. Her interest evolved rapidly to applying her bilingual skills and her deeply caring philosophy to hemophilia outreach and advocacy in the Latino community.
Patti's outreach work has helped hemophilia families with more than their medical concerns, but has even extended into helping them with citizenship. "My work entails a symphony of skills which have become inclusive to the way I live my life, " says Patti.
